Along about four oclock of this same day I began to feel a little under the weather. By 5:30 I really felt awful--alternate sweating & chills, a temperature that about burned me up one minute & made me want a jacket the next. We had an inspection scheduled for the next morning at 7:30, so I had to drive back to the main base for some clean whites much as I would like to have gone to bed. Bill Barker went along with me, & we stopped in town for some supper which I couldn't eat. After getting the whites I prevailed upon him to drive, & I did a little specific mental work then hung on quite free from fear about the next day's obligations.
