4 Ellyson although the room was crowed with friends & my roommate's, whose name even yet I do not know. By morning I felt much better though pretty well done in. Got by the inspection ok, and then, since I wasn't scheduled to fly until afternoon, I flopped down in the ready room for a snooze. By the time I had to go up I felt quite chipper. It all was quite wonderful, really, for, brother, I was really miserable the night before. My instructor at squadron two is an Ensign Stewart, a young fellow from Kansas, who seems to be a pretty good guy. In this first period he showed me the stall characteristics of the SNV then let me shoot some landings. Everything went quite well and
