2 in out at the station, but had not yet started to fly. That would have been about a week ago last Wednesday, or something like that. After reporting in at squadron we spent a couple of days brushing up on radio sending & receiving, blinker, semaphore, and radio procedure; also, a couple of lectures on the type of airplane we would first be flying, the area limits, etc, and several pointed reminders that we were down here to learn to fly combat & to shoot the enemy down before he got us, that we should forget about becoming instructors, or ferry or transport pilots. Sounded like good logic to me & was in complete agreement. We started right out in SNJ-3s and have done all
