mentioned that the "Flight Jacket" had gone to press & that mine was to be sent home. Don't hesitate to open it. The Sentinel & "Great Contemporaries" have arrived. Both please me very much, thank you. Am 100 pages into "Mr Pitt & America's Birthright" by J.C. Long. It is a very interesting biography & shows that Mr. Pitt also said the right thing at the right time and in a grand manner. You will remember him as the defender of the American Colonies in 1776, who said "I rejoice that America has resisted." - and "where law ends tyranny begins" - "the colonies are equally entitle with yourselves to all of the natural rights of mankind, & peculiar privileges of Englishmen; equally bound by its laws & equally participating of the Constitution of this free country" Noble words! Worth fighting for! The comfort & affection of home & family will renew my spirits - hasten the day. Love, Nile
