not because there was nothing of interest to record but because I have not had time - on the 24th. Sister May made me a visit at the barracks at Keokuk and remained two days - Uncle Eldred an aunt passed through town - and I regret to say that I did not see them - On Wednesday the 25th we were regularly mustered into the United States Army - From that time until Saturday morning we were engaged in equipping the reg - Each man received a gun with accouterments.
