Boat still on the bar, at half past-one the steamer "City of Memphis upward bound - came up and in the first attempt to haul us off the hauser broke, and one of the ends Broke both legs of the mate of the Memphis, Knocked one of our men "crazy" and hurt two [brigs?] She now has left and gone up the river I think
