July 6th. Wednesday - This is another beautiful day, except that it is entirely too hot. Yesterday morning our camp was disturbed by the stopage of the East train to put off old Mr. Coburn of Burlington who had been shot by the gurrillas about a mile from our camp two others on the train were wounded so that it they were not able to do any thing yet not so badly wounded as to be left here - Mr Coburn cannot live one shot passed through his head another through the root of his nose
