Yesterday afternoon we had a very severe rain it poured down and it was with a great difficulty that we could atall keep dry - Expected a letter from home and also from some friends - but they failed to come - Smith shaved this afternoon and it makes a wonderful difference in his appearance - Warm - Hot. Looks like rain.
