Mother: Your letter just came and how fine it is. One of the best I have ever received from you. In truth I could see you in your red bathrobe sitting over the register at the foot of the stairs and could hear Gus sawing them off on the davenport. Please continue to send clippings you think of interest. They help to fill in the gap in my reading opportunities. Magazine sections are a little large & lengthy, however. Received a notice that yesterday that I had a magazine at the Omaha post office with a cent and a half due - must be my Reader's Digest. Will send for it today. Incidentally, to forward such things it takes additional postage. Thanks for sending along the five bucks + 1 from grandma. Will try to buy some thing permanent
