next trip. I managed to get 8 w p m on a radio test yesterday which is tops in our class. Once you get on to it, taking code is quite a bit of fun. I hope father and George are making good progress in this respect. On Monday next I become wing commander. That means increased responsibility and more duties. The main problem is knowing just what is wanted--things are changed so frequently around here. This coming Friday I am invited out to McKay's for dinner. They are the family of whom I spoke when I phoned you Monday night. Also, the parents of the comely lass I mentioned. We plan to attend a Science lecture after dinner--it is to be delivered by Florence Middaugh, I believe. I gather from the paper that I shall have to buy a federal use tax stamp for my car in the near future. And my income tax will be due before long; also, a car license. Have I forgotten anything, father?
