2 to many of her friends--mostly women. You would have been proud of me, mother. I mingled and smiled, and smiled and mingled like a "vet", all the while keeping an eye out for Merle who was spending her last time in Sunday School, she being twenty today. Meanwhile, I spotted another beautiful girl about whom I began to wonder. It turned out to be Merle's married sister. Two fine looking young women if I ever saw any. There are four children in the family--the two boys being about 12 & 15, I should judge. I took Merle home after church only to find out that play practice had been called for Sunday evening, thus, robbing me of a tentative date we had made. We seem to have a tough time
