4 at my room this afternoon. I didn't recognize him right away--and no wonder. His conversation soon showed how much he has matured since last I saw him. We had a fine visit for 20 minutes or so. He told me many things about what he has been doing & about the rest of the family. It seems Vice President Wallace's daughter was in a camp near Cimarron (New Mexico) last summer & that when Mrs. Wallace was down to see her Mrs. Hayward asked them both out to dinner. Can you beat that? I wonder if Mrs. W. asked Mr. H. if he liked the A.A.A? Wyman is planning to get married as soon as he gets his commission. Don't know just when that is, but he says he is 2 months behind his class due to an appendix operation. Thanks so very much for the Valentine goodies, mother.
