Tuesday March 3, 1942 NILE C. KINNICK 5024 HAMILTON OMAHA, NEBRASKA Dear People, Since last writing you I have made quite an effort to catch up on my other correspondence. As a result it is now difficult for me to remember just what I have, and have not, told you about my life down here. Should this, or subsequent letters, repeat what has gone before you will understand the reason why. How the days do fly by. They seem to tumble over each other in their eagerness to finish out the week. Before I know it I shall be getting my commission and orders for duty. Despite the inexorable routine I like this life. If only more of my close friends were with me, how wonderful it would be. I should like so much to have Bob and Ben at the same stage training - and Jimmy George, I didn't realize how much I enjoyed him until now. I expect he and I got more kick out of rooming with each other that last year at Iowa than any two men who ever lived. Incidentally, he
