Thursday March 12, 1942 NILE C. KINNICK 5024 HAMILTON OMAHA, NEBRASKA Dear Folks, Once again I am tardy in my correspondence. This time it isn't because I have been answering my other mail. I just have been too daggone busy with my groundschool work. They are really throwing it at us now, and to keep from getting snowed under I have had to put some time in on it. You may be interested to know that my grades to date have been comfortably over a three point in every instance, due, mainly, to the fact that they are very liberal in their grading. The difficulty is not in the technical knowledge required, for it is quite general, but rather, the quantity of material and the short time allowed in which to assimilate it. This week we have spent two hours a day out at the test stand trying to get a practical view of what we have been learning. There they have 8 cubicles, or bays, as they call them, in each of which is located a
