Saving...
Received your cookies, mother, and they were good, very good. Had a letter from grandma today in which she says she is sending me soon - good deal. I shall be ready. Gus, did you get the card I sent to you at Waukon, Iowa? From the schedule of your N.F.L.A. meetings you sent me, I thought it should arrive about right. Or did you ever get there? Thanks for the information on Gog I asked for, also the quotation from "Judahs Sceptre & Joseph's Birthright." Wish I could feel as optimistic about the near end of the war as you do. Russia is kicking hell out of Germany though - and Japan in getting strung out so that if we ever do get a big offensive under weigh we should really clean house. Well, I have run out of stationery & must close. Will get some more tomorrow & plan to write at length over the weekend - I hope. Sure do enjoy hearing from you. Things go well with me. Finger coming along ok. Love S.B.
