2 My instructor is tops, or, at least, so I think right now. His name is McCroskey, which could be Irish or Scotch, and he is a full lieutenant in the regular Navy. This is an advantage to my way of thinking, because of the length of experience out of which his advice & suggestions will flow. I just have a hunch that he has taken as much liking to me as I to him, which, of course, is nothing but conjecture, and purely for home consumption, not to be taken up in the foyer conversation after church. On my first hop which was Wed. last I taxied out to a starting position with more than unusual care. Before taking off he said unqualifiedly that it was the best job any of his students had done regardless of degree of training. Well, that of course was encouraging, but nothing to get excited about for
