We couldn't find any opening for along time, and it began to look as if we would have to plunge through on our instruments. To the laymen it probably appears as if it would be rather simple to just head down through a cloud until you come out below it. However, pilots have found that once the natural horizon is gone they can't tell at all concerning the flying attitude of their plane. They may be going up when they think they are going down,
