2 nothing but N3N-3s at Saufley, the same type of ship that I flew at K.C. The latter part of this week will be spent in checking into squadron three or squadron two, I don't know just which yet. In any event it involves taking another low pressure chamber exam, X Rays of the chest & shoulder at the hospital, indicating my choice of duty to the research dep't, etc. At the present writing I feel that I shall ask for P boats 1st, fighters 2d, and Vo-Vs 3rd. I do not think that I shall try to change over to the Marines. Incidentally, if I go to squadron three I shall be flying SNJs and N.J-1s. It is there that instrument flying is taught - rather exacting work, I hear. George, yours results with the discus make me very happy. If
