You will be interested to know that I put in my application for the Marine Air Corps. Won't know now I come out until the first week in June. You ask what motivated my decision. Well, on the application they asked for fifty words telling why. Here is what I said - "With due respect for this fine record of the other branches of our service, I, nonetheless, am particularly impressed with the fighting tradition of the U.S.M.C. and the courage & valor with which its personnel meets every situation. I would feel mighty proud to join up with such an organization." This, plus the opportunity for quicker advancement, and a general feeling I would like to be a Marine prompted my action. Bob is leaning that way too. Enclosed are some pictures & a clipping. Love, Nile
