2 the record that I volunteered. The men whose words will carry weight in times of trouble 20 & 30 yrs from now will be those who have acted as well as talked. Witness Ted Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, etc. I have no glorious disillusions about my destiny but whether I am a country lawyer or a congressman the principle is pretty much the same. I have no need to argue with you because I know you will agree. And isn't it truly grand that we can feel this way. Living & acting according to principle, striving to exemplify courage & honor is worthy of divine protection; we should
