I missed you in Adel but felt that I should hurry back to Iowa City. Football practice has been going along very well. The boys are in excellent shape and are exhibiting a much better spirit than last year. It is too much to hope that we will be real good but we'll win a few along the way. Ends present the biggest problem. We can't find anyone who can run or looks the least bit nifty. Bill Parker has all the qualifications but he has a leg injury which hasn't permitted him to show much thus far. The Iowa Broadcasting Co. asked me to help out again at the same figure as last
