(2) Oct. 2, '41 This is the night that you are at Columbus Junction. I hope that you have the same touch that had at Sioux City a year ago. If you can pick up a news item I will be glad to receive it. Your comments on Elizabeth Charlton have been of interest. A real girl friend can be of considerable comfort and satisfaction. But boy, they have to be pretty genuine to wear well. We must have a talk about that some time. My experience isn't very broad and I don't claim any unusual powers for analysis, but the exchange of views ought to be of much mutual interest. George is talking of going out for football next fall. Maybe it is the season of the year, but maybe he will at that. He should have some work to do that would really develop and harden the muscles on that torso, which by next year should be sufficient to afford a background for a guard or a tackle. If he does I fancy that he will find it about as strenuous as anything he has undertaken so far. It is about mail time, so Love Pop
