2 to get every other weekend completely free from Friday at 4 until Sunday at ten. However, the war situation has curtailed this fine liberty. It also looks as if there will be no Xmas leave. The quarters here are good and well heated during the day. The food is good, and the officers are fine men commanding the respect of all. And better yet most of the boys here are fine fellows. Two years of college was one of the requirements of enlistment you know. As I told you when I last saw you I brought my car down here with me. It makes it quite convenient for getting back & forth to Kan. City, Mo. which is three miles away. All in all, I am situated quite pleasantly. Once we get south, the tempo & standards of ability are stepped
