3. They sent him east to tell'em what to do, He told the House and then the Senate too, He wore tux, white tie and tails, But when he really sails, Everything in clothes but green slacks is taboo. His mother dressed him up for every day, "No wore old dirty shirts" to him she'd say, But she didn't know the slacks, Would never reach the racks, In his clothes room where good clothes were tucked away, She sent him blithely home to Uncle Chas., And to Grandma's, there to quaff a friendly glass, He came in wearing slacks, And went out with many backs, In the wrinkles and the folds that were 'en masse.
