Dear Judge Stuart:
In re-reading your very helpful letter of 3/29/'72 I find much useful information for a full-length biography of Nile Kinnick I've been asked to write for the Iowa Press. Nile, Sr. has given his blessing to the project and I am straining every nerve to finish the manuscript by Aug. 1. Legally, as you know, I can't quote from your letter without your written permission. Since your letter is one of the best - probably the best - personal source of Nile's college days, I would like to have permission to quote some passages. I'd appreciate your giving me the right. All profits will go to Nile's scholarship fund. Any additional memories, valuations, names of people to write to for anecdotes will be gratefully received. Nile, Sr. sent me (more)
