SATURDAY, JANUARY 16, 1864. A long talk with M at the Library. Finished Gala Days. Am nearer sad than I have been for a long time Office duties light. SUNDAY 17 This has been a day of deep spiritual enjoyment. I find peace in commutting my way to God. Guide me O! thou great Jehovah. MONDAY 18 At the Library M- gave me a letter that did me a world of good. Read several articles in the Atlantic. Wrote all evening.
