MONDAY, MARCH 7, 1864. Left home soon after day light. Stopped in Keokuk with Mrs Conrad. Spent the night with Mrs. [Viall?] Perpetual blessings from above, encompass me around TUESDAY 8 Bro 0- went with me on the Steamer "Lucy Bertram" Spent most of the day reading Phillips Leactures Enjoyed talking with Mrs & Miss Brownell very much. WEDNESDAY 9 St. Louis. Arrived here soon after day light. Spent the evening reading Dr. Tralls Vegetarian Theory. Am in love with it. decidedly.
