TUESDAY, MAY 24, 1864. Left home early. Met Brothers in Keokuk. Went with Mrs & Col Triall to dress parade. Heart ached to see the brave soldiers being equiped for the battle. WEDNESDAY 25 Yielded to Ortus and Mrs T--s solicitation & stayed. Eve with Ortus and Sebum. One sad hour with E. We walk blindly. May God guide us. THURSDAY 26 All day on the train only a few precious moments with Tillie the same precious friend. Glad to be in B- again.
