THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 1864. Manda started home this evening. I can hardly live without her. No one on earth can fill her place. Some one is praying for me I know. FRIDAY 16 Mrs C - came today. Find more ways of being useful to the sick and wounded than I had imagined I could. God is guiding me. SATURDAY 17 A long letter from Manda cheered me immensely today. One from May F - almost as good. Working on in hope.
