SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 1864. Libbie came today. Poor Mr. Gould died and his wife is almost heartbroken. Am glad to be of use to her. MONDAY 19 Everything seems dull without Manda. Libbie is good company for me. The U.S.C.C. are doing much for us now. TUESDAY 20 Visited the wards with Libbie and Miss S - and tried to cheer the sufferers. Sad work.
