SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 1864. Chaplain gave me the Cotta Family. Style simple and pleasant. Longing so earnestly to do good, & win souls to Christ. SUNDAY 6 Attended the 1st Pres' Church, also service in the dining room. Not much time for religious reading. MONDAY 7 Dr F- reading "Confessions of an Opium Eater" to us. Very much pleased with it. How time flies!
