letters was from cousin Amanda one from Mollie Teeter and from R. M. and one from Kate the folks are all well. Abners have had some bad luck since I wrote to you before, his silver horse got killed one of the neighbors oxen hooked it in the breast and it died in ten minuets it is quite a looss but I guess he will not lose it all, they have left it to two disinterrested men to decid what the man shall pay he is willing to pay half but every body thinks he had ought to pay more because he knew that the creature was not safe and another thing it was done right at A. B. own door I do not know what they will make out yet. There is only three more weeks of school and then I am going down
